Staff Selection Commission – Combined Graduate Level Examination, SSC-CGL is an examination conducted to recruit staff to various posts in ministries, departments and organisations of the Government of India. It is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission for selecting staff for various Group B and Group C posts.

SSC CGL Tier-3 Syllabus Total Marks – 100

Tier 3 of CGL exam is a descriptive exam  to test the written skills of the candidates in  English/ Hindi.

The mode of the exam is offline & students required to write essay, applications, letters etc.

The exams carries 100 marks & time allotted for the same is 60 min. Time allotted for PWD category is increased to 80 min.

Tier 3 paper is given by specific candidates who are interested only for the  post of “Statistical Investigator Grade II &  Compiler”.

SSC CGL Tier-4 Syllabus Total Marks – 100

Tier 4 examination comprises of couple of skill sets required for certain government  posts all over the country.

DEST (Date Entry Speed Test) 
Candidate required to type 2000 words in  15 min.

Tier 1 & Tier 2 exam is compulsory for all  posts mentioned in the notification while tier 3 is specifically for the candidates applying for the post of  “Statistical Investigator Grade 2 & Compiler”.

Similarly, Tier 4 exam is taken by candidates applying specifically for TA,  CSS, MEA, & Inspector.
